Meet the team behind the success of training monitor.

Peter Jones - Senior Managment

Peter retired from South Wales Fire Service in 2004 after 29 years service. Throughout his service he specialised in the field of Fire Safety. He spent 3 years at the Fire Service College from 1989 lecturing in the School of Fire Safety Engineering . In 1996 he was promoted to Assistant Chief Fire Officer in charge of the Fire Safety Division of South Wales fire Service.

As Chairman of CACFOA Wales Fire Safety Committee he represented the Region on the National CACFOA committee, representing them on various BSI committees. During his time on the committee he was lead officer for legislation working with government committees on the drafting of current day legislation.

In his last 18 months of service he was responsible for the Brigades Training and Human Resource function.

Gareth Pugh - Senior Managment

Joined Mid Glamorgan Fire Service in 1974 and progressed through the ranks to that of Senior Divisional Officer within the South Wales Fire Service. Retired from the Service having completed 30 years in June 2004. During his 30 years he worked within all uniformed departments of the Fire Service including Fire Safety, Training , Human Resources, Operations and Staff (which included responsibility for Health and Safety within the Brigades). He attended all courses at the Fire Service College relevant to his career , ranging from Specialist Fire Safety to Divisional Command. Has extensive experience in a senior management role and served on numerous committees and groups during his period within the Fire Service.
